Ore and pickaxe progression

Poly Loot Mining Guide

Start by roaming between ore nodes, then graduate to a compact loop once your pickaxe mines quickly enough. The main cave connects Miner Tom’s quest area to the ore-rich Bear Mountain side, giving you one long route with several useful farming clusters.

Open crafting to confirm your live recipe. In the recorded version, the path starts with wood, then asks for iron, gold with red shards, and finally diamond ore with epic shards for the top pickaxe shown at that time.

Main cave mining route

01

Enter the main cave

Mine the two nodes near the initial entrance. Ore types are randomized, so judge a spot by its number of nodes—not by one spawn.

02

Pass Miner Tom

Miner Tom gives the pickaxe quest. Around this section are nodes to the left and right, plus another shortly beyond the entrance.

03

Take the nearest left opening

At the multi-way junction, avoid going straight down if mining is your only goal; that branch leads to skeletons without more ore. The closest left route reaches a dense group.

04

Clear the first farming pocket

Mine the pair by the opening, then the four additional spots deeper inside. This is a workable manual loop while you build speed.

05

Cross to the extra cave

Continue across into the next cave section. Check beside and behind the walls: crystal or other high-value ore can appear among the nodes.

06

Finish at Bear Mountain

Keep descending until the cave reaches the Bear Mountain entrance. The compact five-node area here is the key repeatable farm.

Recommended farm

The Bear Mountain loop

Mine the tightly grouped lower nodes, then climb to the node above. By the time you finish the upper part, the lower nodes may be returning. Drop back down and repeat.

  1. Clear the lower cluster.
  2. Mine the nearby fifth node.
  3. Climb and clear the upper node.
  4. Return to the first spawn.

Safe mining options

Two upper ore nodes sit in a PvP-off area. Their safety can beat a faster route you cannot hold. In a PvP-enabled cluster, use a safe-zone totem for protection.

Before you have a fast pickaxe, roam the map and mine whatever is available. A fixed loop matters only when you clear it quickly enough for respawns to sustain you.

Long-term value

Keep common ore

Coal, iron and gold remain useful after their pickaxe stage. Gold mine storage upgrades consume common resources, while coal extends a boosted gold-production period.

Crystal is especially valuable later for crystal armor, so mine it whenever it appears even if your immediate recipe needs something else.
